- Description
- A street scene showing war veterans waiting to meeting King George VI and Queen Elizabeth at the CPR railroad station. Near the centre of the photograph you will see Queen Elizabeth and slightly ahead of her to her left is King George VI. The CPR station on the left was demolished in April of 1976. The Pagoda, Canada's oldest information building, is still standing thanks to the efforts of the Thunder Bay Local Architectural Committee. For a closer look at King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, see the Royal Visit/Fort William,1939.
