Description
The Northern Prince (front), and the Patricia, two diesel tugboats used to transport people and ship supplies to Ear Falls and Red Lake areas. The Waterways were used due to a lack of road systems for transportation of goods, supplies and people. A large percentage of the boats used for shipping on Lac Seul and the Chukuni River systems were hand built by Ole Gustafson. The waterway was the only form of transportation until the late 1940's when Highway #105 was constructed.
