Please plan to attend NOTICE TO OUR COMMUNITY: We are placing this ad in our Community newspaper to dispel any rumours that we are closing down. WE ARE DEFINITELY NOT CLOSING DOWN!! The past two years have been financially draining for retailers, especially for small businesses like us. We have been involved in numerous cost saving activities, trying very hard to keep our heads above water. There were times when we were out of stock or were unable to get the stock, and this caused frustration not only for you, but for ourselves, as well. Not to provide the service that is expected from us, or the service that we would like to extend to you, is frustrating indeed. In the past few years manufacturers, vendors and banks have not been kind to small business owners. Stock.received from numerous vendors has to be prepaid before leaving the warehouse. Most small businesses cannot afford to keep a lot of stock in their stores, especially if they don't know if it will sell. It is also very difficult to compete only on price with bigger stores, even if you carry the same product, because they can buy larger quantities and take advantage of "volume-buying discounts". There are certain items that we can price the same as in Thunder Bay, and every effort is being made to do that; however, because of mark-up, transportation costs, etc., we are very limited. There are some items that we can purchase at a savings, and we try very hard to do that so that our savings are passed on to you, our Customer. What we DO is make every effort to service our product and give you the best service. we know how, which we believe adds up to good value for our customers. In summary, we enjoy being in business in Terrace Bay. We enjoy being part of this community and intend to raise our children here. This is our home. We would like to thank all our customers for their support, not only through the rough times, but the good times as well. We are still in business and, with your patronage, hope to be for a long time to come.
