"The purpose of this special week is to inform students about the fast-changing labour market, to stimulate their interest in career choices and to encourage them to stay in school and obtain their high school diploma," says Cochrane-Superior MP Rég Bélair. "CCW is part of the nation- al stay in school initiative, which was established to com- bat Canada's current 30 per cent high school drop-out rate." "It is crucial that young people receive this vital career information," says Bélair.
