May St. J 623-8429 ~ Maxine You Fee Just Rice DIDYCH - Funeral services for the late Pearl (Baba) Didych, age 86 years, resi- dent of Schreiber, who died on Sunday, September 22, 1991, were held Wednesday September 25, 1991 at 11 A.M. in St. Andrew United Church, Schreiber with Beth McLean officiating. The choir sung "The Lord is My Sheperd" acompanied by the organist Dorothy Lengel. Her six grandsons were active pallbearers: Craig Fischer, Dean Fischer, John Fischer, Carson Fischer, Kirk Fischer and Corey Fischer. Interment was in Mountain View Cemetery, Thunder Bay at 3:30 p.m. The funeral was attended by family, relatives, friends, neighbours and mem- bers form the Churches. Prayers were offered by the Chimo Senior Citizen's Club on Tuesday evening led by Bet Macadam. From out of the city to attend were: daughter Ann and husband Robert Robbens, Ottawa, Jim Kostecki, Sylvia Kostecki, Thunder Bay, Ontario. WINTERS -The funeral and Legion service for the late John R. (Jack) Winters was held on Sept. 27, 1991 at St. John's Anglican Church in Schreiber with the Rev. Bob Elkin officiating. Daryl Lee Winters, eldest grandchild, read a poem of her own composition in memory of "Poppa". Pallbearers were John G. Winters, Jim Winters. Kanny Krause, Ernie Krause,Sr., Paddy Duggan and Frank Hurley. Honorary pallbearers were ivan Johnson, Borden Ross, Rod Bryson, Jack Richardson, Sr., Brian Birch and Bob Krause. Legion Colour Party were Edgar LeBlanc, Rene Bedard and Hobden Spikula. Legion Honour Guard was made up of Ambrose McGrath, Tom Webb, Gordon Willoughby, Martin Ryan, Ken Davis, Lawrence Madge, Bill Madge, Ivan Martin and Reg Bailey. The Legion veterans and members preceded the funeral procession to the Schreiber Cemetery where internment was held. The funeral was largely attended by family and friends, both local and from out of town.
