This program takes place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.. The class is designed to build strength, increase flexibility and improve cardio vascular fitness with a low intensity/high duration aerobics workout. Fitness for Fun Exercise can be enjoyable when a participant registers for this exer- cise class which is held in the momings three times a week. The PUBLIC NOTICE TO ALL SNOWMOBILE USERS The snowmobile season is approaching and we wish to emphasize the safety aspects of this sport. Many roads in our area used by snowmobilers have gates or cable barriers which could result in injury or death to careless snowmobile operators and damage to their snowmobiles. A technical clinic for coaches is being held in Thunder Bay in November. If you are interested in taking the coaching clinic, or in assisting in an executive position or in just helping out please con- tact the recreation office at 824- 2317 as soon as possible. Mixed Volleyball The mixed Volleyball will commence on Tuesday, November 22 at 7:00 p.m. at the High School Gym. Anyone interested in an evening of fun and comradary should contact the recreation office or simply be at the gym on Tuesday night. Please note that you are asked to use the gym Schreiber N.B.C. December 17, 18 - North Shore Minor Hockey Action Level I and II Theory Coaching Clinics The recreation department is now accepting names of those interested in obtaining their Level I or II Theory Coaching Certification. The clinics will be scheduled for January and February respectively. All interest- ed parties should leave their names at the recreation office. Terrace Bay Library News The new 3 month deposit col- lection of. entertainment, children's cultural and educational videos has arrived at the library. During Ontario Public Library Week a bookmark contest was held for ele- mentary school children. Prizes were presented to the 14 winners at the end of the week. The book- marks will be printed for distribu- tion throughout the year. The response to this contest was won- derful and the decision to choose a winner from each grade was diffi- cult. A big thank you to all the chil- dren who designed bookmarks for the library and congratulations to the winners. We now have foreign language books in Japanese, Chinese, Greek and Russian on deposit in the library for patrons who are interest- ed. NEW BOOKS: Cat's Eye- Margaret Atwood; The Lyre of Orpheus-Robertson Davies; Prime Time-Joan Collins; Gorillas in the Mist-Dian Fossey and many more including new cookbooks and craftbooks for Christmas gifts and decorations.
