- Description
- Postcard of the Railway Heritage Building, located at the Thunder Bay Marina. This postcard, which was distributed by the Northland Specialty Co., reads "While the official designation is the 'Railway Heritage Building', the site is referred to as the 'Depot' or 'Old CN Station' by most Thunder Bay residents. In 1880, the great steel links of the Transcontinental railroad began. Construction of this Depot took place between 1905-06. This location was used by the Hudson's Bay Company as a landing area for supplies. Thunder Bay had become a vital transportation point in the new Dominion of Canada".
