28 Willow St was occupied from 1920 or earlier by Penmans employee Elwyn Buchanan Stewart, sons Cyril and Edward, and wife Elizabeth Jane (Jennie) Kibble. Elwyn (Bill) was a long time bass drummer for several Paris Bands (Brant Dragoons, Paris Citizens). Son Cyril was played in the McCammon dance band along with having his own travelling dance band. Both Cyril (Signals)and Edward (The Royal Canadian Regiment) were in the Canadian Army during WW2.Jennie lived in the home until the early 1960's when she moved to the John Noble home in Brantford. Jennie was a British Home Child with The Barnardo Home. She was born in Bethnal Green in the East End of London, England.
