This frame story and a half house was built for Mr. Schade and his family. The back piece was added some years later and Jim Mc Lachlan lived there for a while. Lila and William Boettger bought the house about 1943 for $2000 from J.W. Troyer who held the mortgage. In 1968, Boettgers sold to Jean and Ed Ross. Gerald and Liz Desjardin owned it for a time and in 1987 Emmanuel DaSilva bought it. He renovated it and put an apartment upstairs. In the summer of 1997, Grace Campbell has here craft store set up downstairs.
Other owners and residents have been: Henry Adams 1894; H.L. Walton 1905; Edgar Walton 1908-11; Edward Wurm 1916; Ed Jenkins; Wm. McLachlan; Stan Raaflaub 1935-40; George Hobson; Audrey and Don Hollard rented part of the house from Boettgers in 1944.
