This building was the United Church Manse. The land was purchased in 1892 but there is no building date. In 1894, it was registered to F.W. Raoch and in 1902, Rev. John Wilson lived here. In 1906, it was registered to the Methodist Church.
It is a two story frame building. When it was no longer needed as a parsonage, the house was rented out for many years. Wm. and Lila Boettger bought the manse in 1968. In 1978, they sold to Marilyn and Howard Raaflaub. Howard ran a barber shop in one room and Marilyn had material and craft supplies in the rest of the main floor. An apartment was made upstairs which was rented to Kim Laing for a while. In 1998, the barber shop is now Hugena Gennoe's hair dressing salon rented from Marilyn, who still has her craft shop. Mr. Firman was the last United Church Minister to live in the parsonage. - Date of Publication
