North half, Lot 7, South half, Lot 6, West side
Dr. Freeborn built this house about 1910 on land that originally belonged to the Irwin-Stewart farm. He ran his medical practice here and also lived in the house. When he was ready to retire, Dr. Freeborn sold the house and his practice to Dr. Salmon, who in turn, sold to Dr. Wright.
Charlie and Sarah Hodgins were next to own the house. When Charlie died, Sarah's sister Mary Kennedy took two rooms upstairs. Gayl and Garfield Robertson rented two rooms downstairs and one upstairs in 1961-63. Sarah's brother Charlie Smith came to live with her in 1962. Charlie bought the house after Sarah died, then sold to Mr. & Mrs. Simmon, who sold to Mrs. Chambers. Her son John and wife Bonnie acquired the property and they sold to Brian Chisholm. He and his wife ran a bed and breakfast. In 1994, William H. Stewart and his wife Linda bought the house and continue to run the Dr.'s House Bed and Breakfast. - Date of Original
