- Description
- A two page document, which includes four photographs and a history of the home on Spark Street North Lot 6. The first three pictures were taken within ten years of each other. The house is two stories tall with a porch and balcony on the front of this brick building. There is a fence with white stone posts and a metal wire fence.
The fourth picture is a colour photograph. The balcony has been walled in to become another room in the house. The window in the new room has a Canadian flag. Also, there is a separate garage in this picture. The garage may have been in the older pictures as well, it is hard to tell based on the different photo angles. - Inscriptions

J. Wilfred Troyer built this house for his family in 1915. It is a two story brick house with attic and a basement. Ted and Vickie Nelson bought the property in 1954 or 55. When they were no longer able to care for the house, they moved to Eastholme in Powassan in 1984 and the house was sold to Mrs. Davis the following year. She operated it as a boarding house for seniors for a while then sold to Ron Bernas.
Other owners of this lot were Peter Ehl in 1894, Herb Taylor in the early 1900s, then Bartholomew Clark, Wm,. Ross, and J.W. Harrison. In 1916 it was registered in Mrs. Troyer's name and assessed at $2175. - Date of Original
