- Description
- Black and white photograph of South River's Main Street, circa 1900. The photo was taken from the middle of the street, looking down its length. On both sides of the street are buildings, some dark brick exteriors and some painted wood siding. Some of the buildings look like they have storefronts. The first building to the left of the photo has a covered porch, with a few people under it. There are a few more people further down the same side of the street. In the foreground are the railroad tracks that ran through South River. The street is not paved.
