    In 1946, the Aguasabon Dam was created to supply power to Longlac Pulp and Paper (Kimberly Clark) as well as residences in Terrace Bay and surrounding area.

    In order to convey water from the intake structure of the hydroelectric generating station near Terrace Bay,a tunnel through 1067 meters (3,500 feet) of solid rock had to be excavated.
