Page 4 E.M.B.S. MEMBERSHIP DRIVE PROGRESS At the time of publication, the Employees Mutual Benefit Society has reached a membership of 349. The Personnel Department is now endeavouring to close off the oes campaign for mem- bership and any persons who have not yet been approached regarding coverage under this latest Benefit Plan, should immediatcly see either the Operating Personnel man in the Mill, or the Employment Supervisor in the Personnel Office. Applicants who desire to join the Employees Mutual Benefit Society after May 31st would be required to sign waivers on any physical disabilitics which they may have (all persons accepted prior to this have been allowed in the Plan without such waivers). The ready acceptance with which the E.M.B.S. has been greeted by the majority of the IongLac employees at Terrace Bay is in line with the modern trend toward insuring against the days when we may be without any other source of income to meet financial obligations, The Plan will also, in some measure, give insurance and compensation to the many sports-minded individuals who participate in the various sports activities providing recreation at Terrace Bay which carry the element of risk-of personal injury due to off duty accident, o-0-0 LOAM FOR LAWNS AND GARDENS AVAILABLE Following inquiries from a numbor of the residents of the community, the Company has made plans to distribute suitable loam for making lawns and gardens.
