These photographs are of the barn raising bee on the Harvey Bethune farm on Turtle Lake Road. After Mr. Bethune's barn burned in the summer - I believe it was August during haying season - (mid to late 1960's) the local men in the community got together and helped to build this barn. A "barn dance " was held after the structure was completed.
