Portal-Foster (Executive Director) are opening their home to provide supportive accom- modation and help to women in emotional and emergency situ- ations on a short-term basis. They are qualified to give counselling and advice in areas such as divorce trauma, and marital or parent-child difficult- ies. Their aim is to provide an unstructured atmosphere to provide time to think and rest from stresses and pressures. Recreation facilities include an indoor heated pool and sauna, table tennis, billiards, piano, organ and many outdoor activit- ies such as hiking, skiing and bird-watching. Weekend accom- modation includes. single or shared bedrooms' and gourmet meals per day for $50. The daily fee is $21. ""A Place To Go" is located southeast of the village on the third concession. The president, Mrs. Robert Gamble welcomed members and guests including 4 members of the Leonard Branch. The secretary, Miss Edna Curry, read a interesting letter from the Provincial President, Mrs. Herb Maluske. Mrs. Russell Latour, convener of Canadian Industries, gave her motto, "Spend a thought before you spend a penny.' The annual meeting will be held on April 5th, at the home of Mrs. George McCaffrey.
