Light can be soft and soothing, or contrasting and harsh. These aspects of light are the photographer's strongest creative tools. Light is affected by time, Cloud formations along the Lake Superior shore- place and weather; it's just waiting to be interpreted in your subject. Choose a subject that interests and excites you and study it from every point of view. It takes time to study lines, shapes, composition and to perceive patterns and tex- tures. By taking a second look, you line can provide stunning light effects for photog- will see colour patterns and moods created by light. Concentrate on tiny details that are often over- looked. Your life may become enriched as you become increasingly aware of the beauty of the common and small , and this art will be reflected in you work. Next week: Composition raphers.
