The under dog team captained by Frank Trichilo used quick passes, team work and solid defense. in drop- ping the Rick Morgan team by a two game total score of 21 to 7. The championship two game series pitted the Trichilo squad against the heavily fa- vored Krause squad, winners of the regular season league. First game action was wide open end to end play, with a final score of 10 to 8 in favor of the Krause team. After a much needed rest the teams returned to the ice for the second and deter- mining game. Solid de- fense and strong team play was demonstrat- ed by both squads. This game was won by the Trichilo squad 6 to 5 but when combining with two game total goals the Krause squad won 15 to 14. The Schreiber Parks and Recreation Department in conjunc- tion with Confederation College, Fitness On- tario and Hockey On- tario are staging a pre- season "Dry Land"' Hockey School. This school has been de- signed for both coaches (parent volunteers) and, players. The coach will have the opportunity of learning how to help his players get in better condition and improve their. hockey skills. The player will enjoy going through a series of var- ied and interesting ses- sions. Paper Tole Workshop for Beginners and Ad- vanced Students Paper Tole is an old art dating back to the 18th, 19th century Eu- rope. It is a three di- mensional picture creat- ed by cutting three or more identical prints and layering them to- gether using silicone. The student will be cut- ting each print apart in a different manner and sculpting and layering to produce a dimensional effect. Materials for the "workshop will be avail- able at the course. Ad- vanced students, if time allows will learn to fea- ther an owl and also learn to paper tole flor- als. The Kiosk and Visitor Cen- tre close September 5. From September 5 to October 2, a self-regis- tration system will be used in the camp- grounds. There will be no charge for day use. Backcountry users should register at the booth outside the Visit- or Centre. After October 2, camping will be free, but only minimal sup- port facilities will be available. The camp- ground road will not be plowed this winter, but Pukaskwa will be_open to those interested in skiing, snowshoeing and winter camping. Have a happy Off- Season visit!
