- Description
- The Historical Society is particularly indebted to Waitstill ‘Waity’ Croswell, Joyce Crossman, Jack Crossman, Orma Quinn, Lynn Abbot Lennox, the Wellever family. Richard Moore, Norma Hill-Watt and the late John Macfie for the photos and associated descriptions.
- Notes
- The Bushlen family purchased the Hotel in the 1920s. Time was not kind and in 1940 the Buschlens were forced to sell the hotel. It was apparently purchased at rock bottom prices by Robert Porter and Sydney Moon. In 1944, James Ernest Clark, husband of Molly Buschlen repurchased the hotel and made a number of improvements including the building of cottages to complement the hotel business.
Pictured re some of the cottages built by ‘Grandpa Clark’ for Molly (Buschlen) Clark.
