- Notes
- In this enlargement, the Charles and Phoebe (Dixon) Croswell home and boarding house is on the right on the north side of Ahmic Street. Barely visible at the far left, is the Kennedy Boarding house, operated by Lillian (Croswell) Kennedy, also located on the north side of Ahmic Street. The other buildings in the picture were on the south side of Ahmic Street. The buildings on the right are part of the Croswell Boat Works. The white house behind may have been occupied by William and Gertrude Snaith at the time of this picture. Later it was the home of Amos Ross and family, who for a period of time operated the boat works. At a still later period, it was the home of Lewis and Eliza Crossman. The building centre left was on the corner of Ahmic and Mary Streets. At the time of the picture Edward and Mary Alexander may have lived there.
