- A black and white photograph of Gem Theatre. In the picture from left to right are: H. Pomeroy, R.S. McQuaid and Cecil Greenfield. The man to the far left of the photograph (H. Pomeroy) is carrying a copy of The New York Clipper.
- Notes
- This building was located at 211 Brock Street South (on the east side of Brock Street, south of the municipal building at Colborne Street). The Gem Theatre was the first movie theatre in Whitby. It stayed open for only one year. The New York Clipper was a weekly entertainment newspaper published in New York City from about 1853 to 1924.
