- Black and white negative showing Ernie Taylor's arena from Gilbert Street. The arena was located on the block bound by Brock, Ontario, Green, and Gilbert Streets and was replaced by the Whitby Community Arena in 1954.
- Notes
- This arena was originally built by George Carmack and William Barnes in 1889. Fred Burns enlarged it in 1913. Ernie Taylor operated the arena until 1953, when it was dismantled and rebuilt in Tara, Ontario.
