Black and white photograph showing Hilda and Eileen Barnett with co-workers at the Brunton Lumber Company. These women were hired to produce ammunition boxes during the Second World War.
Notes
The Brunton Lumber Company was built at Whitby Harbor in 1941. The company manufactured ammunition boxes for Defense Industries Limited in Ajax during the Second World War. The company was sold to General Mills and was destroyed by fire 0n 8 February 1951.
