Department of National Defence THE 11TH CDN. ARMY TANK BN. (ONT. R.) CANADIAN ARMY OVERSEAS 9th September, 1941 Miss Ella Muir, Secretary, The Whit-Knit Club, Whitby, Ontario, Canada. . Dear E11a: Please thank all the Members of the Whit-Knit Club for the very nice pair of socks, which arrived a few days ago. They will come in very useful. Life is a little different here from what you are having at home, and even the weather appears to be against us at times. We have had more than our share of rain, which has made our Tank Park a Sea of Mud. However we hope to be out of tents before the winter arrives. Ward and David Irwin, Jim Kerr, Eddie Astrop and I often talk about the good times we had at the Yacht Club. It is so different now. Keep up the good work Girls, yours is a real War Effort. With kindest regards to all. J.H. Perry, Major
