- Black and white photograph showing the presentation of the Vorvis trophy to Bert Johnston. Johnston was awarded the trophy in 1950 because he was a long-time promoter of sports in Whitby and he had consistently sponsored a ladies softball team. The presentation was made at a hockey game at Taylor's arena.

- The Vorvis Trophy was annually presented to a person who has consistently contributed to sports in Whitby. Harry Vorvis, the trophy's creator, was the owner of Maple Leaf Billiards. He first presented the trophy in 1948.
