Notes

Dr. Wellington Adams (1848-1918) was a dentist in Whitby from 1872-1914. He was born at Port Hope to Colonel Henry Adams (1806-1894) and Faith Smithson (1810-1864), the seventh child of eight.

In 1876 Wellington married Ellen Inkerman Huston of Whitby at Whitby. They had two children: Allan Huston Adams (1878-1928) and Clara Ellen Adams (1882-1978).

Allan Huston Adams married Nettie Elizabeth Norris (1883-1923) of Newmarket at Toronto in 1909. They had five children: Charles Wellington Adams (1910-1972), Allan Norris Adams (1912-c.1999), Mary Ellen Adams (1913- ), Elizabeth Hope Adams (1917- ), Susannah Noble Adams (1921-2002).
