- Black and white negative of a photograph showing the construction of Burns Arena. This photograph shows the main skating area and the curling rinks in the low sheds on either side of the building.
- Notes
- In 1913 Fred Burns englarged the old Barnes arena located on the block bound by Brock, Ontario, Green, and Gilbert Streets. After Fred Burns died in 1932, the arena was managed by Norman and Ernie Taylor and later by the Whitby Kinsmen Club. The arena was dismantled in 1953 and rebuilt in Chatsworth, Ontario.
