- Louis J. Sebert was born in Whitby in 1886 and lived at Whitby and Brooklin in his youth. He was a champion track and field athlete at the University of Toronto and represented Canada at the Olympic Games in London, England in 1908.
At the time of his death he was a member of the athletic board at the University of Toronto. He presented the Sebert Cup as a track and field trophy for the Whitby High School.
He graduated with a degree in medicine from the University of Toronto in 1912 and served on the staff at St. Michael's Hospital and the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. He died at Toronto on 2 December 1942. - Date of Original
