Black and white negative of a photograph of the governor's residence and the brick wall which surrounded the Ontario County Jail. Governor Edmund Schiller (left) and Turnkey Frank Bryan stand in front of the building. A bricked-in doorway can be seen in the wall at right.
Notes
The Ontario County Jail was built in 1853 at the south-east corner of King and Gilbert Streets and demolished in February 1960. It was replaced by the new jail on Victoria Street in 1958.

Governor Schiller took over the jail in 1907.
