- Black and white negative of a photograph of the members of the Whitby Fire Brigade posed in front of the building south of the Municipal Office/Town Hall. The men are standing in front of a float on which there is a banner that reads 'Ever Alert', the motto of the fire department. There are two horses to pull the float at left.
