Description
Black and white negative of a newspaper photograph of the site of a railroad accident in Whitby. Two different photographs showing the site of blood spots and the site where sectionmen were hit.
Inscriptions
Printed underneath the top photograph: 'This picture shows the journeymen standing to the north of the track where the blood spots were found.'

Printed underneath the bottom photograph: 'Looking east from a point 933 feet west of where the accident occurred. Men can be seen on the track where the sectionmen were hit.'
