The Whitby Gazette and Chronicle operated from 1912-1941. It was published by Charles Albert Goodfellow from 1912-1919 and from 1919-1941 by Graydon M. Goodfellow.
The office was located at 201 Dundas Street West, on the south-west corner of Dundas and Byron Streets.
The Whitby Gazette and Chronicle joined together two newspapers, the Whitby Gazette (1862-1912) and the Whitby Chronicle (1856-1912). In January 1942 The Whitby Gazette and Chronicle combined with the Oshawa Daily Times to become the Times-Gazette and later, the Oshawa Times. The Oshawa Times ceased publication on 5 November 1994. - Date of Original
