The name of the contracting company is R.B. Stewart .

The view is looking north with the Bateman Farm in the background.

This photograph was taken on the Canadian Pacific Railway line between Dundas Street and Hopkins Street. The Canadian Pacific Railway was built through Whitby in 1913-14.
