- Black and white negative depicting an image of the Dryden family residence. The plants and lawn are well manicured and there appears to be a vine growing up the sides of the brick house. Two large trees flank the photograph.
- Notes
- This brick house was built in 1835 on lot 20 of Concession 7 in Whitby Township. It was located on the north side of the the 7th Concession, east of Thickson Road. A second story was added to the house in 1926. It was the residence of James Dryden (1806-1881), John Dryden (1840-1909), William A. Dryden (1881-1949), and John Dryden (1913-2005). The property, known as Maple Shade Farm, was owned by the Dryden family from 1832-1965.
