we came by the marker for this site on a walk through Cullen park. It was off the beaten path. It would be nice if it was a know historical site within the park.

Thank you for your comment. At least there is a marker for the site. Unfortunately, when many of the buildings are demolished, it is hard to designate a spot as a historical site.

There are many other designated sites in Whitby!
