- Notes
- Burr Lodge is located at 918 Centre Street South on the block bounded by Centre, James, King and Burns Streets. It was built in the 1850s by James Wallace and in the 1860s and 1870s was the residence of Chester Draper, owner of Whitby Harbour. The verandah around the front of the house was removed in the 1920s and converted to apartments. Frank Burr Mosure, a later owner of the house gave it the name "Burr Lodge". A new verandah was added around 2000 by Drummond White.
