- Notes
- John MacCarl was born at Kingston, Canada West, on October 6, 1852 and lived in Collingwood, Ontario before coming to Whitby. He was employed as Streets Foreman for the Town of Whitby for 27 years. Mr. MacCarl died at Whitby on March 31, 1933 and is buried in Union Cemetery, Oshawa.
Tryphena Hopper was born on October 18, 1853 and lived most of her life in Whitby. John and Tryphena were married on October 18, 1877. Tryphena died on August 9, 1919 and is buried at Union Cemetery, Oshawa. - Date of Original
