- A black and white portrait photograph of John Parker (1884-1935).
- Notes
- John Parker was born on April 17, 1884. He and Bertha May Worfold of Whitby were married in 1913 at Toronto. He served in the 3rd Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force in teh First World War. He was one of the charter members of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 112 in Whitby when it was formed in 1927 and was instrumental in the building of the cenotaph in 1924. He was a popular humourist and singer in Whitby. He died on June 21, 1935 at Toronto and is buried in Mount Lawn Cemetery, Whitby. At the time of his death, he was employed at Whitby's Customs and Excise Officer.
