- A black and white photograph of Caleb Rose Sr. (1835-1920). This picture is from a frame of portraits of members of Composite Lodge No. 30, AF & AM.
- Notes
- Caleb Rose Sr. was born in England on February 10, 1835. He married on March 8, 1857 in London, England. He came to Canada in 1869 and a year later entered the service of the Grand Trunk Railway as a bridge foreman. In 1895 he was appointed Masonry Inspector between Toronto and Portland, Maine, for the railway which was headquartered at Richmond, Quebec. About 1910 he retired to his former home in Whitby. He died at Whitby on June 1, 1920 and is buried at Mount Pleasant cemetery, Toronto.
