- A black and white portrait photograph of John Sinclair (1838-1906).
- Notes
- John Sinclair was born in Whitby Township, on July 14, 1838, and farmed on Lot 24, 4th Concession. In 1874 he gave the land for the Sinclair Public School which was built in 1874 and demolished in 1992. The Sinclair Secondary School is named after him. John Sinclair died at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. on December 6, 1906, and is buried at Oshawa Union Cemetery.
