- A black and white portrait photograph of Albert Asa Post, (1850-1926).
- Notes
- Albert Asa Post was born in Pickering Township on January 29, 1850. He attended St. Michael's College in Toronto and after graduation he studied architecture with the firm of Langley and Burke, Toronto. In 1879 he opened an architect's office in Whitby. In 1882 he remodelled the Court House at Whitby and from 1883 to 1896 was Architect for Ontario County. In 1891 Mr. Post opened an office in Toronto in association with A.W. Holmes of London, England. He developed a reputation for designing churches, schools and other buildings for Roman Catholic congregations in Ontario and New York State. He was a member of the High School Board and the organist of St. John's Roman Catholic Church in Whitby. In 1896 Albert A. Post moved to Buffalo where he remained the rest of his life. He died at Buffalo, New York, on June 28, 1926, and was buried at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Buffalo.
