- A black and white charcoal drawing portrait of Jackson Holliday (1818-1874).
- Notes
- Jackson Holliday was born at Aspatria, Cumberland, England, on May 26, 1818. He came to Canada in 1832 with his step-father, and settled near Brooklin. He was married in Whitby Township on March 10, 1849 to Mary Jane Hall. He was Sabbath School Superintendent of the Methodist Episcopal Church either at Brooklin or Myrtle for 20 years. He died at Lot 12, 1st Concession of Reach Township, May 12, 1874, and is buried in the Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery, at Myrtle. This charcoal drawing may have been drawn from a photograph after his death.
