A black and white photograph of Frederick Henry Mercer Irwin (1890-1943).
Notes
Frederick Henry Mercer Irwin was born at Weston, Ontario on November 9, 1890. He was educated in Toronto and studied law at Osgoode Hall. He practised law in Toronto and Whitby and from 1941 to 1943 he was employed in the Naval Stores Department at Ottawa. He was a founder and later commodore of the Whitby Yacht Club in the 1930s. Mr. Irwin served as President of the Whitby Chamber of Commerce in 1931. He died at Inverlynn, his home in Whitby, on September 25, 1943 and is buried at Union Cemetery, Oshawa.
