A black and white portrait photograph of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Warren Annes.
Notes
Henry Warren Annes (1824-1886), the eldest son of Ezra Annes, was born at Whitby in 1824 and lived at the south west corner of Dundas Street and Frances Street. He married Charlotte Frances Howard at Whitby on January 26, 1859. This photograph may have been taken at that time. He served on the Town Council of Whitby in 1882-1883 and in 1885. He died at Whitby on January 15, 1886.

Henry Street in Whitby was named in honour of Henry Warren Annes.

Mrs. Henry Warren Annes was born in 1831 at Whitby. When the County of Ontario Old Girls' Association was formed in 1904, she was named Honourary President. Mrs. Annes died at Whitby on July 31, 1925. She and her husband are buried at Union Cemetery, Oshawa.
