- A black and white portrait photograph of Mrs. John Dow (Catherine Isabella Ball) (1824-1900).
- Notes
- Mrs. John Dow (Catherine Isabella Ball) was born at Niagara, Upper Canada on January 14, 1824. She married John Down of Glen Dhu farm, lot 23, concession 3, Whitby Township on November 7, 1848 and took up residence in Whitby Township after that date. She continued to live in Whitby after her husband's death in 1858 and died at Whitby on January 7, 1900 and is buried at Union Cemetery, Oshawa.
