- A black and white portrait photograph of David Leslie Briggs, 1848-1927.
- Notes
- David Leslie Briggs was born at Whitby Township, east of Myrtle, on June 30, 1848. About 1873 he went into partnership with David A. Brown in a general store at Myrtle, called Brown & Briggs. After the store burned down in 1889, he went into business in Toronto with his brother Sylvester at Steele-Briggs Seed Company. About 1914 he moved to Los Angeles, California where he died on November 16, 1927.
