- A black and white portrait photograph of John Ham Perry (1892-1976) and Cullen Perry (1893-1918). The two children are pictured sitting on an animal fur rug and each have an opened book in front of them.

- John Ham Perry and Cullen Perry were the only children of John Ham Perry (1827-1896) and his second wife Louisa Hay (1864-1942), and were grandchildren of Whitby's founder, Peter Perry.
John Ham Perry was born at Whitby on May 5, 1892 and was a banker most of his life. He was manager of the Whitby branch of the Dominion Bank from 1926 to 1939. He served in both the First and Second World War and reached the rank on Captain. In the Second World War he went overseas as a Major in 1941 and became a Colonel in 1943. He commanded a reinforcement depot in England. He was founder and first Commodore of the Whitby Yacht Club in 1933. Colonel Perry died at Mississauga, Ontario on May 30, 1976. He is buried at Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Streetsville, Ontario.
Cullen Perry was born at Whitby on August 15, 1893. He served in Europe in the First World War and was killed in Alexandria, Egypt on February 3, 1918 while on active service. He is buried at Chatley Cemetery, Alexandria, Egypt. - Date of Original
