- A black and white portrait photograph of Reverend John Bedford (1854-1925) and Mrs. Bedford. Mrs. Bedford is pictured standing to the left of a seated Reverend Bedford. There are animal pelts located on the table where Reverend Bedford is resting his right arm and also behind Mrs. Bedford.
- Notes
- Reverend John Bedford was the minister at the Myrtle Methodist Church from 1890 to 1892. He was born in Hertfordshire, England in 1854 and came to Canada as a student minister in 1881. His first church was St. Paul's Methodist Church, Toronto and he later went to King Street Methodist Church. Mr. Bedford was stationed during his ministerial career at Bruce Mines, Thessalon, Heathcote, Creemore, Elmvale, Allandale, Lakefield, Myrtle, Fenelon Falls, Pickering and Odessa. He retired to Fenelon Falls where he died on July 7, 1925.
