- A black and white portrait photograph of Thomas Huston.
- Notes
- Thomas Huston was born at Ballymena, Antrim County, Ireland, UK in 1825 and came to Whitby in 1854. From 1854-1856 he was a clerk for James Roe and Company, grain merchangts at Port Whitby and from 1856-1859 he was a clerk and paymaster for Hugh McBrien who supplied wood to the Grand Trunk Railway. From 1859-1896 he was clerk treasurer for the Town of Whitby and was recognized as an authority on municipal law and government affairs. Mr. Huston died at Whitby on April 20, 1896.
